Condensation-cure silicone rubber, also called Tin-based silicone rubber, is two-component material which cures at room temperature (RTV) to flexible, high tear-strength rubbers. The two component system consists of a base (Part A) and curing agent/catalyst (Part B).
RTV-2 condensation cure silicone rubber for mold making, is an excellent material that can be used widely for producing replicas in a variety of industrial and art related applications, such us architectural decoration & restoration, foundry, sculpture, statue, handicraft & art casting, archaized furniture, artistic candles, shoe sole moulds making, prototyping, pad printing, etc…
RTV-2 Condensation Cure Silicones are available in different shore hardness range from very soft to medium – usually from 15 Shore A to 40 Shore A. With the features of good flowability, resistant to high temperature and corrosive, high anti-tensile strength and anti-tearing strength, low shrinkage, high duplication times, etc… RTV silicones can be poured or brushed on to almost any surface. They can pick up the fineset detail and the shape of original model precisely and reproduce those details perfectly in any casting.
RTV silicones can be used to cast a variety of materials including wax (candle making, wax foundry patterns), gypsum plasters, concrete, polyurethane, polyester and epoxy resins, low temperature melt metal alloys and more.
